Biography: Samuel Waniaye began Bukimuga Community Church as a house fellowship in 2002, embracing the great challenge to serve God in a predominantly Muslim area that is known for idol worship and also Islamic religion. In the midst of this setting, today Samuel and his congregation of around fifty people have a place to worship God in truth and spirit with freedom - using a full band, their own created songs, and joyful clapping and dancing.
Their emphasis is to see that their community is thoroughly evangelized and to make disciples who will continue to reach others.
Their mission to their region is to preach the gospel of Christ to the least, the last and the lost, and to holistically transform the whole man, spirit, soul and body.
Strengths: Persistence in the face of many threats from the traditional and Muslim communities, highlighting a "no-quit" stance.
