Debrich Jeremiah & Barbara Acheampong
Oil Field Ministries

19-500 Goldap,

Ministry Type: Translocal

Ministry Description:

Joined FMIN: July 2008

Biography: In early 1995, Debrich Jeremiah was seriously preparing for his advanced level examination in science in order to enter university to become a medical doctor when he and a close friend were moved by the Holy Spirit to start Youth Community for Jesus. Debrich Jeremiah soon became a student of theology instead, acquiring a Doctorate Degree in Ministries/Missions with his Polish-born wife, Barbara, at his side. He continued to work with Youth to fulfill the Great Commission and continued his education at several seminaries earning additional degrees, certificates and awards. On May 29, 2003, the Holy Spirit led them to begin Oil Field Ministries, which began in their living room in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The focus of the ministry has now shifted from pastoral to global missions or, as Debrich Jeremiah puts it, "Catching the fishes where they are located." They tell us this has been their heartbeat since 2004, and others have stepped up to take over the pastoral work in Ghana.

They now travel across the nations raising leaders and empowering and injecting God's purpose across Asia, Africa and Europe. They are also working to set up OFM University College of Missions, which will provide growing Christians an opportunity for in-depth Bible based study.

Strengths: Debrich Jeremiah moves in the office of an apostle with emphasis on evangelism and prophetic teaching and writing.
