Biography: Evangelical Revival and Restoration Ministries, aka Winners Church was started by Michel and Jeanne from a house prayer cell in 2006 with five people in attendance. After a month, the first worship service was held in their living room, and six months later the living room could no longer contain them and they build the church auditorium to seat 120. Even though they have faced attacks from Islamic leaders, including bribery, theft of land and materials, and the burning of their offices, they have planted four churches in other towns and villages in the region. They have also been able to help vulnerable women and children through their initiative of a social assistance program. Michel writes, a "We have seen many destinies that were denied dignity due to sin, sickness, and poverty restored by the Lord Jesus Christ."
The church mandate is to liberate captives, to bring revival and restoration of human dignity to nations through the preaching of the total gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The church has weekly cell groups, nursery, children's and an active youth ministry which encompasses those aged 15 to 30. They minister to other youth in the community by organizing outreaches and seminars within their abilities. Evangelism is a very large part of the church in many ways. They charge every Christian to be committed to the great commission in their daily lives, sharing their testimonies and Christ one-on-one. They hold open air crusades, organize special outreaches in quarters, schools, villages and open spaces, and do prison and hospital visitation periodically to share Christ's love with them.
Strengths: Michel has a passion for teaching, and is courageous and creative. Both Michel and Jeanne show the great love and compassion of God through their lives.
