Biography: In 1991, Rick Renner accompanied Dave Duell on his first trip to the former Soviet Union. While Rick was ministering at a Bible school in Riga, Latvia, God spoke to Rick's heart, saying, "Welcome to your new home." Today souls are being saved and lives are being changed in the former USSR because Rick and his family obeyed the call of God on their lives and moved to that region of the world to help establish the newly emerging Church where communism once prevailed. In early 1992, the Renners began taking the Gospel to the former USSR through television. Today the Good News TV Network broadcasts the "Good News With Rick Renner" program across the eleven time zones of the former USSR, reaching a potential audience of more than 100 million viewers.
The Renners also established the thriving Riga Good News Church in the early 1990s. In November 1998, the Renners dedicated a new building for the Riga church's growing congregation of more than one thousand people. Then in September 2000, the Lord led the Renners to put this church into the hands of their trained leadership and move to Moscow, Russia. There they started the Moscow Good News Church, which quickly became one of the fastest growing churches in Russia. Today the Moscow Good News Church is one of the largest Protestant churches in the city of Moscow, with a Sunday attendance of almost 2,000 people.
